Voor de boottocht, op 10 maart:
Pre-Departure Meeting: There will be a pre-departure meeting, usually around 10:00 AM on the day of the trip. The captain will take full payment in cash ($725, maar al $60 deposit gedaan dus nog $665 te betalen), collect your ORIGINAL PASSPORTS, and help you change any pesos to dollars if you need to. After this, you will be free for the day and must return to the Marina for departure in the evening around 6/8 PM.

San Blas Islands, Panama
We have the boat Big Fish II departing from Cartagena, Colombia on the 10th of March which takes up to 10 passengers and charges 725 usd per person in the private double cabins and 700 usd per person in the triple cabins (1 double bed and 1 single bed). This boat will arrive in Porvenir, Panama and the captain is Eliecer Valdelamar.
The trips leave from Cartagena and the first 30-50 hours are spent on the open sea crossing and then the next three days cruising around the San Blas Islands. All the boats do a five-night trip, departing in the afternoon or evening of the first day and ending on the morning of the sixth day of the trip.
The price includes three meals a day, drinking water, tea, coffee, snorkeling gear, and standard immigration at the start and end of your trip. You should bring your own snacks, alcohol, mixers, juices, etc. that you would like for the trip.
GELD:
- entree Kuna Yala entrance fee $20 USD
- For boats that end in Porvenir: Your captain will arrange your transport from the boat to your Hostel/Hotel in Panama City. It consists of a speedboat and a jeep. The speedboat costs $25 usd per person and will pick you up from the boat and take you to the coast. The jeep/4x4 costs $35 usd per person (this includes the $2 usd dock tax) and will take you to your Hostel/Hotel in Panama City. The journey takes around 4 hours costs $60 usd in total per person, and is not included in the price of the trip.

In Panama-Stad is er een groot busstation naast de shoppingmall Albrook. Alle bussen vertrekken van dit busstation, genaamd Gran Terminal Nacional De Transporte. Vanaf Casco Viejo kun je het beste een Uber nemen naar het busstation (± €5,00). Op het busstation koop je een kaartje voor de bus naar El Valle de Anton.

TIP! Je kunt de tijden voor deze bussen bekijken op thebusschedule.com. Er zijn online namelijk bijna nergens tijden te vinden. De tijden om deze site zijn redelijk accuraat en betrouwbaar.

Vervoer van Boquete van Bocas del Toro
Vanaf het centrum in Boquete pak je de bus naar David. Op het busstation wissel je van bus en stap je in de bus richting Almirante. Vanaf daar pak je een taxi naar de haven, waar de boten naar Colon, Bocas del Toro vertrekken.
TIP! Wil je het jezelf makkelijk maken? Er gaan rechtstreekse shuttles voor €30,00 naar Bocas del Toro. Hierbij is het bootticket ook inbegrepen.

Route naar Puerto Viejo:
Vanaf Bocas del Toro pak je de boot naar Almirante. Vanaf daar stap je op de bus naar Changuinola en daar stap je over op de bus naar Guabito. Dit is het dorpje bij de grens, hier loop je naar het immigratiekantoor. Je haalt een stempel als bewijs dat je het land verlaat en steekt daarna, wandelend over de brug, de grens over. Welkom in Costa Rica, je bent in Sixaola. Hier ga je weer eerst naar het immigratiekantoor om een stempel in je paspoort te halen. Daarna pak je een rechtstreekse bus naar Puerto Viejo.
TIP! Wil je het makkelijker maken? Er gaat ook een shuttle vanaf Bocas del Toro naar Puerto Viejo voor €30,00. De organisatie regelt dan de boot en shuttles, maar je moet nog steeds zelf lopend de grens over. https://www.caribeshuttle.com
