Spend the evening exploring Thun's medieval Old Town, strolling the covered Obere Hauptgasse shopping street and admiring Thun Castle overlooking the rooftops. Grab dinner at a riverside restaurant along the Aare — try Rösti or a Swiss cheese fondue to fuel up for the hike ahead.
Sigriswil, Switzerland

Hike Stage 1 from Thun covers 11 km with 640m of elevation gain — a rewarding introduction to the Lake Thun Panorama Trail. The highlight is crossing the 340-metre Panoramic Suspension Bridge, which offers sweeping aerial views perfect for DJI Neo 2 drone tracking shots. Overnight in Sigriswil or Merligen; both offer quiet guesthouses and stunning lake panoramas.
Interlaken, Switzerland

Hike Stage 2 from Merligen is 17 km along dramatic cliffside forest trails, passing the cascading waterfalls at the St. Beatus Caves — an excellent natural landmark. Note that Interlaken sits within strict heliport airspace, so keep the drone packed away on arrival and in town. Stock up on supplies at the Coop or Migros on Höheweg and enjoy the buzz of this adventure hub for the evening.
