For half a day I would recommend walking to the Chorillo del Salto. That is a nice and easy walk to a waterfall. Or to the Mirador de las Aquilas. That’s a little more uphill but still not hard. For a full day Loma de Pliegue Tumbado. It is nice. Goes slowly uphill and has beautiful views on the Fitz Roy. At the very end you have a nice view on a stunning lagune but you don’t have to go there. The trail itself leads through beautiful landscapes. It is not as crowded and way easier as the popular trails. This trail was recommended to me by a hotel owner. I travel to El Chalten a lot with groups. I have done all trails by now, the Pliegue Tumbado is my favorite. https://elchalten.tur.ar/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/EL-CHALTEN-TURISMO-MAPA.pdf
I wouldn’t go all that way and not do laguna de los tres. I did lots of hikes there and none compared or even came close to being as beautiful. I didn’t find it difficult.
